Hi and Lois Sunday page, December 11, 2005,
Thirsty always takes the easy way out when it comes to his responsibilities. But his solution to shopping efficiently is actually not a bad idea.
Many people, particularly teenagers, prefer to get money for Christmas. Gift cards are an option when a shopper has no idea what to give, or runs out of time. But these come with the obligation of having to make a purchase at a particular store or site. The problem is, giving cash conveys the message that not much thought went into the gift. No one wants to be perceived as a lazy present-giver.
There are many ways to give cash creatively. Among the sites on the Internet with such solutions are this one:

Of course, Thirsty would never make the effort to try any of these.
