Elliot Caplin and John Cullen Murphy

About

Created by writer Elliot Caplin in 1950, Big Ben Bolt centers on the life of the heavyweight champion of the world, a rough but kind fighter who faces drama inside and outside of the boxing ring.

Featuring episodes filled with mystery, romance, international intrigue and even on occasion, the supernatural, Big Ben Bolt earned the "Best Story Strip" award by the National Cartoonists Society in 1971.

The strip was drawn by illustrator John Cullen Murphy.
